Accident Reconstruction

Laser Scan Ford F-150 Scan View

Over the years Slate Stern has developed relationships with a variety of forensic experts that assist him with his cases and provide his firm with the most advanced crash reconstruction technology available to include 3D Laser Scanning, Forensic Mapping, Crash Data Retrieval and both close-range and Ariel Photogrammetry. He routinely writes digital demand letters in his cases that include both video and audio reconstruction analysis. By utilizing accident reconstruction tools, Slate Stern is able to clearly and effectively present your side of the events in negotiations and in the courtroom, helping you achieve the best results for your case.

  • 3D scanning the scene of an accident is the only way to reconstruct the actual environment with 100% accuracy.Data gathered from 3D scanners provides litigation teams, the freedom to take measurements and analyze an accident scene long after the accident occurred.

  • Forensic Mapping is the process of using electronic surveying equipment to measure and map crash evidence. We can map both the crash scene and vehicles. Our forensic mapping produces a very clear and precise record of the crash evidence that can be used to reconstruct the crash. Some crashes are too complex for a simplified analysis. Computer models and simulations allow us to analyze very complex events with state-of-the art analysis methodologies.

  • Ariel and Close Range Photogrammetry is the science of extracting measurements from photographs. The Stern Law Firm uses sophisticated software that allows precise measurements to be obtained in seconds from computer-generated photographs of accident scenes.

  • Video Crash Simulations provide judges and jurors a demonstrative understanding how and why an accident occurred. Simulations usually produce a time history of vehicle positions and speeds, which can then be used to generate detailed videos of the crash. It is one thing --- for instance --- to say a vehicle hit the bicycle from behind. It is quite another thing to see a video of the vehicle hitting the bicycle from behind. A picture says a thousand words.
